Meta’s head of engineering and infrastructure, David Mortenson, is stepping back from his role to “recharge”, a spokesperson confirmed to Insider.
Mortenson’s move, first reported by The Verge, marks the third senior Meta executive to step down from their role this month.
Chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg announced her departure on June 1 and was shortly followed by Meta’s AI chief, Jerome Pesenti.
Santosh Janardhan, Meta’s infrastructure VP, will take over Mortsenson’s role overseeing development of all hardware, software, networks, and data centers that Meta and its subsidiaries run on. Read more »
